This listing is for a USPS PRIORITY MAIL SMALL FLAT RATE BOX stuffed with 11-1/3 lbs of SOLID 95% COPPER COMPOSITION Lincoln Pennies Dated between 1959 and 1982. These 11-1/3 lbs of Solid 95% Alloy Copper Pennies have an approximate FACE value of .60. Since these pennies have been run through my comparator, there are *NO Copper Plated Zinc 1982s, so the entire lot is Solid 95% Copper INTRINSIC VALUE coins for the saavy numismatist, speculator or prepper.
By "Solid 95% Copper" I mean that each of these pennies is composed of an alloy that is 95% Copper with the small 5% balance being a combination of Tin and Zinc. A 95% Solid Copper alloy is considered "HIGH GRADE" because of its purity. This alloy is typical of ALL small cents issued by the United States Mint, starting with Indian Head Pennies in 1864 and continuing with Lincoln Cents starting in 1909. The lone exception was the war time emergency issued 1943 Zinc Plated Steel Pennies.
The bottom line is that I am offering 11-1/3 pounds of HIGH GRADE COPPER in a pre-measured Medium of Exchange Ready-to-Go Form at a very reasonable cost. These Lincoln Cents from 1959 to BEFORE mid 1982 bear the Lincoln Memorial image on the reverse, and were the LAST HIGH GRADE INTRINSIC METAL CONTENT series of coins issued by the U.S. Mint. As of this listing, they can still be found sporadically in circulation, but that is rapidly changing. Thousands of hoarders race to cull circulated pennies daily to sift out what is left in circulation. By securing these lots, you save yourself the grueling, tedious and time consuming task of lugging loads to and from the bank and hand sorting by eye or weight.
These pennies are being hoarded by some preppers in anticipation of the day when survivors must revert to intrinsic mediums of exchange (IMOEs).
