This listing is for TWO (2) Rolls of Fifty (50) authentic, U.S. Lincoln Wheat Back Pennies/Cents from the 1950s (Dated 1950-1958) as struck and issued by the Official U.S. Government Mint Facilities in Denver, Philadelphia and San Francisco. The rolls you receive will be randomly selected from my bin which has a mix of 1950s Circulated Condition Cents bearing "D", "S" and NO Mint Marks.
The composition of these coins is "Solid 95% Copper". By this I mean that each of these pennies is composed of an alloy that is 95% Copper with the small 5% balance being a combination of Tin and Zinc. A 95% Solid Copper alloy is considered "HIGH GRADE" because of its purity. This alloy is typical of ALL small cents issued by the United States Mint starting with Indian Head Pennies in 1864 and continuing with Lincoln Cents starting in 1909. The lone exception was the war time emergency issued 1943 Steel Pennies.
The bottom line is that these pennies are bona fide intrinsic money, in Ready-to-Go Form!
These Lincoln Cents bear the WHEAT BACK image on the reverse, and are part of the LAST HIGH GRADE INTRINSIC METAL CONTENT series of coins issued by the U.S. Mint. As of this listing, they can still be found sporadically in circulation, but that is rapidly changing. Thousands of hoarders race to cull circulated pennies daily to sift out what is left in circulation.
