We are now working with black soldier fly (BSF)and Black Soldier Fly larvae (BSFL) in our compost. When it comes to an efficient compost organism the BSFL are about the most efficient at eating/chewing 99% of what goes into the compost.
If your local temperature forecast is below 40 degrees or above 85 degrees during the week when you place your order it will be marked "hold for pickup" at the post office. Once the tracking says that your order is delivered or ready for pick up at the post office you will have 24 hours to report any problems with your order for your live guarantee. These larvae a the medium size great for feeding and composting.
The full lifecycle of the black soldier fly can be as little as 5 weeks and as long as 8 months (depending on temperature and food availability).
These larvae are also great for feeding chickens, reptiles and fish they protein & calcium rich. Also known as the Phoenix worm.
