Background of this sale:
In 2015 I had the opportunity to buy this penny roll collection and despite the fact that I am not really interested in pennies (my expertise is silver coins, see my other auctions) I bought this collection with the intention of cherry picking through them and resell them as individual sets. I never got to the cherry picking part because it is overwhelming how many varieties are out there. However, after I sold about 15 to 20 sets I had my investment back and decided to wait for the next cold season to continue. Well that was 5 years ago. Now I am moving to a different country and there is no way to take them with me.
I am not sure anymore but I believe at the time of purchase there was a total of 127 different rolls each with 50 coins. I did purchase some other rolls like 1943, 1954 S, 1954 D and 1958. also some 2009 rolls to make the full set of the individual Lincoln years set complete. I know it was more than 6000 coins and I am saying just to be save that I sold 20 sets, about 2600 coins. this leaves this sale with at least 3600 coins which should be a cherry pickers heaven.
